Genesis of Tedious Social Oppression in New South Africa: Veracity on Private Public Partnership Development Strategy at Bhambayi-a Poor Community Within Ethekwini Municipality

This monograph attempts to critically scrutinise the source of the limitations of the current development strategies such as private public partnership that seems to fail to redress pre 1994 challenges such as persistent unequal access to basic services such as water, land ownership and forced labour of the indigenes to meet their livelihoods. It also review the impact of private public partnership strategy in redressing past injustices especially when it comes to the issues such as land redistribution, access to basic services and as well as the role played by stakeholders such as multinational companies in the communication sector, i.e. MTN, Vodacom and Cell C and their utilisation of scrap containers in provision of services and sustainable development to the marginalised communities in the slave camps that are also known as townships, such as Bhambayi informal settlement.
