Hostility rages among nations when their nuke satellites experience glitches. Ryan, a prominent scientist, who quit defense out of remorse, is pulled back in to contain the situation. Fateful events plunge them into war until an advanced alien civilization, Genans, enter Earth. Although Genans avoid humans, their seemingly harmless encounters quickly turn into devastating attacks. Hell breaks loose after Ryan's communication with aliens accidentally kills some of them. But the encounters and escalated conflicts are no accident, but staged by a secret enemy who wants to wipe humans and Genans. Stopping the unbeatable Genans and the real enemy behind the shades could be Ryan's only way of saving his ailing fiancée from the impending annihilation.
