The end is near. Samson's own apocalypse looms in the near distance and he knows that his personal rapture will be nothing good. Vengeful retribution lies at his feet. With the death of Dylan on his hands, Samson's life hangs in the balance. Losing his freedom only exposes him to even more threats to his life. The worst part is that Daemon has abandoned him in his most desperate moment. For once, Samson has a desperate need for Daemon if he hopes to survive the perils that lie ahead. Doing horrible, unimaginable things for the sake of a greater good was how Daemon justified what he has been doing on borrowed time. It wasn't like he needed to make peace with his actions for himself. There was always a larger calling; a bigger purpose and agenda. But the road to great judgment is paved with pitfalls and traps. For some Daemon is a savior. For others he is the devil. Walking that path just may leave him and Samson falling into an abyss of nothingness that neither of them can emerge from.
